beauty boxMy make-up storage at the moment is a complete mess.
Honestly, I’m such a hoarder that I have products all over the place.  At the moment I have a large wicker basket under a set of drawers that contains all of my stuff.
At first, I did have some kind of order: my hair products went in the basket, my make-up, separated into various application areas went into different compartments of the drawers and I even had a draw set aside for hair stuff.

Then I bought some more stuff. And some more stuff. And now it is a mess!

Then I read the very inspiring post by Zoella and marvelled at how she has reorganised her whole make-up situation.  I am totally impressed and it got me thinking into ways that I could re-vamp my make-up storage and give it a vintage twist.

My first look was on Amazon, and I do like the Beauty Box San Remo Pink Cosmetics & Make-up Beauty Case as shown in photo and I’m sure it would keep all my stuff tidy and away but then I got nostalgic for vintage vanity cases.

I used to have a red one way back when I first started using cosmetics, it was given to me by my aunt and it was lovely.  It even had a little lock and key and the vintage vanity case just looked so pretty sat in the corner of my room.

I have many fond memories of opening that vintage vanity case just so I could look at all my lovely cosmetics, only to take them out and then put them right back in that case.  So I’ve decided to build a small collection of vintage vanity cases.  My plan is to buy about four or five in different colours and then stack them in the corner of my room right by my mirror.  I think it would look so cool!

First stop is a good old search on eBay where my Vintage Vanity Case search through up some amazing results.  Some vintage vanity cases even had little bottles and compartments for filling up with delicious goodies!

So, I have my eye on a pink one for starters.  When I’ve collected a few, I’ll take some photo’s and show you them.
