Looking through some pictures of 1920’s makeup and you cna see why it was such a hit.

I love the feel and image that 1920’s makeup portrays.  The 1920’s were a time where women showed that they were liberated from the way they applied their makeup.  It showed that the flapper girls knew where they were going and what they were doing and they way they put on their lipstick and eyeshadow were true indicators that they knew exactly what they were doing with their 1920’s makeup style.

My make-up storage at the moment is a complete mess.
Honestly, I’m such a hoarder that I have products all over the place.  At the moment I have a large wicker basket under a set of drawers that contains all of my stuff.

It’s really hot here today.

Too hot to think, too hot to do anything, so how are you supposed to do make up in this kind of heat?

Skin has this tendency to become oilier when it’s mid summer and the consequence is that it’s difficult to look fresh.

Here are five easy tips on how to do make-up in the heat without it sliding off your face or giving you a huge acne break out later:

1. This may sound obvious, but look at the products you already have in your make up bag. If possible, try to only use make up with formulas that are waterproof, non-oily and long wearing so that they will hold up in the heat.

2.  Use moisturiser with a sunscreen and try to make it an oil free one.  This will stop you from getting sunburnt and will ensure that you don’t end up with a bright red face! Read more
