Bette Davis Eyes

So with all the hoopla about eyelashes in general at the moment, I got to thinking about mine.

I have blonde eyelashes, which is a desperate situation to be in if you want the lovely long lash look – mainly because no one can see them!  So I have always, always worn mascara.  And it has always, always been black mascara.

I have never had a bottle of mascara that wasn’t black, or very black, or the blackest of black mascara.
But then, the other day I was reading a blog interview where someone with luscious eyelashes swears by brown black mascara.

What?  I always thought that brown black mascara was for toning down your eyelashes, not maxing them up, but then I got thinking.  Read more
