OK, this may sound a little off the wall, but how would a cake stand do for make-up storage?  I was reading this post by Aquamarine, and she got a lovely vintage cake stand from eBay and it got me thinking.  Although my vintage vanity case storage idea is great, and would be wonderful for storing all my bulky items – like hair products, what about all my little iddy-bits of make-up?

I need something that’s easy to get to, easy to see what I’m getting and doesn’t look like an eyesore.

So, I went onto Amazon and look what I found!  The Baby Babell Black Tiered Cake Stand and even better, it’s only £10!

I really like how they’ve filled  this white cake stand:

Imagine that instead of cherries, it’s full of luscious lipstick, or eye colour pallets, or eye and lip pencils.

I think I may have to try this out!
